As you noted, I don't think Trump sees himself as a fascist, but he is a fascist leader. From Wiki:

When your core followers are all fascists, you are a fascist. Let's not excuse him as diseased. They're all diseased in similar ways. All fascists are diseased in similar ways. Apparently 30% of our voting public are fascists. Like "good Germans" they'd never admit it but they'll vote for him even if he's convicted of attempting to overthrow the 2020 election. Let's not forget, this fascist, like many before him is running for president to stay out of jail and free his comrades who will disembowel every organ of the federal system. They won't get it wrong next time.

In his first administration he hired several, reasonable Republicans who attempted to direct him, to "school" him in how the government works. Little by little he fired them and put in fascist sycophants. Next time he'll only allow true believers, followers, in his administration. He won't make the same mistakes. It will be scorched earth from day one.
