tenkay, re: "SEC uses broker/dealer in reference to published quotations which is what we are taking about"

you're muddling my point.
"broker/dealer" is a descriptor i'm very familiar with
and never disagreed with.

my issue was simply with your "aka Market Makers"
which should have been clear from this excerpt
highlighted specifically in 2 of my prior posts:

[[ thus, afaik, "Broker/dealers (aka Market Makers) are trading MIKP"
is not an accurate statement, unless to remove "(aka Market Makers)." ]]

spelling it out for clarity:

imo,

"Broker/dealers (aka Market Makers),"

is a logical equivalent of,

"politicians (aka presidents)."

which is inaccurate, because "presidents"
represent a specific subset context of politicians.

ie: all "presidents" are "politicians."
but "politicians" are only "presidents"
when they are acting in the role of "president."

similarly,
all "market makers" are "dealers."
but "dealers" are only "market makers"
when they are acting in the role of "market maker."

with my original point being
there are no "dealers" currently trading MIKP
in the capacity of a "market maker"
because no "market makers" have filed a 211
to make a market in MIKP.

thus, calling the dealers currently trading MIKP "market makers" is a misnomer.
viz:
[[ and the distinction is contextually evident
in the fact that MIKP currently has no L2 data. ]]

99.99% of all pinks are scams. Best to assume the other 0.01% are as well.
