Excel....

Did you read, or do you know the set-up on qualifying for the Olympics? The Americas (which, all due respect to Europe) all had to battle each other in a very bizaar format, fighting for 2 spots. Meanwhile, Europe (again, all due respect) get 3 spots because Greece gets an auto-bid for being the home country. In case anyone was wondering, ALL the world strength in baseball is in the Americas (and Cuba of course). Crazy set up, but the US still should have been able to take care of Mexico I guess. They had their chances, allowing the winning run score in the 9th, and not coming thru with men on base in the bottom of the ninth. Still a shock to see the US not in the Olympics. Unreal.
