1) Up to date financial information given in an ASM or quarterly conference call is not illegal. Calling Dave and getting the information that isn’t public is illegal.



Actually, that is wrong. It is perfectly legal. What is illegal, is to trade on that information. So long as no such illegal trading is done, there is no problem. No harm, no foul.
