Great summary of the video!

I can only add emphasis to some of your comments. The 18:30 - 19 minute mark does it for me. Jose Pozo states quite clearly that chiplets and the co integration of photonics and electronics on the same chip is here and now. It’s the number 1 requirement in the industry. The failure to shout out to Poet is a slap in the face jmho. I don’t know why he would not mention Poet? He threw out a couple of other names in the presentation.
Strange?

The discussion of the Arista direct drive or pure drive technology revealed that Arista in cooperation with hyper light technology demonstrated a TFLN modulator to a silicon modulator in a transceiver. They also showed the same comparison using a VCSEL in a BiDi application.

He did comment Polymers and a couple of other materials could be used to decrease the voltage.

One of the key requirements in initiating such technology in pluggables is to get the lasers as efficient as possible. You do that by having extremely accurate alignment between the laser and modulators and other optical components. In Poets case enter Vanguard technologies with the micro lense 3d printing. The other Poet solution is to place the chiplets in the transceiver in the most favourable location to minimize the electrical distance from the switch ASIC all to eliminate the DSP.

WDM technology is evolving and some really interesting laser technologies coming along. Quantum Dot lasers etc.

Simply blows my mind that Suresh has talked and presented for the last few years about hybrid technology, chiplets, optical interposer and it does nothing to the share price?

I guess investors need to see revenues , show me the money before talking the risk. Jmho
