No. The environmental impact is the same regardless as to who is claiming what.

Now a lot of these companies are members of the responsible business alliance that has a cascading impact down the supply chain - which is helping. Auto manufacturers included.

Besides, all these electronics manufacturers will be happy to tell you how they are saving the world. Microsoft is going to be carbon negative and water positive! Don’t get me started on Amazon climate pledge friendly products.
So they are selling product with an intention. Its marketing and it crosses all industries.
There is a large population that wants to feel good about their consumption.

Again, this is why I laugh when I read about someone calling foul due to environmental impacts of batteries/EVs, when its no different than any other supply chain out there. You cant hang your hat on one industry/market segment, but then be ok with them all. Its kind of hypocritical.
