I don't doubt for a minute that this is possible. And I have been worrying all along that Denner might have something up his sleeve that is not in the best interest of Retail.

My only hesitancy about believing this to be the case is that he has not shown to have done this before (not that we necessarily know if he was shorting other holdings).

My larger worry was him trying to take the company private or something else that would benefit him, and leave retail holding the bag.

I also think that he could burn a lot of bridges with institutional shareholders if he tried this.
