Fight this? Haha, you do realize Sarissa could quite possibly be up over +$70,000,000.00 since appearing on the scene if they have been shorting against the box.

Think about it, It's not hard to devise a plan that exploits retail FOMO in order to spike the share price up to falling resistance where shorts pounce. Add in a few strategic announcements, a threat of a proxy war, an actual proxy war preceded by a mysterious Jefferies upgrade and you have the makings for an engineered takedown.

The silence on the heels of the proxy-win selloff is probably enough to sink the ship down to the bottom of borderline insolvency. That's when we'll likely see his action - first in the form of a slow cover, followed by a resurrection rally into a wholesale BO. The trouble is, the price won't be in double digits but merely at or below the iceline. Denner, et.al makes out like a bandit, making bank on mirror image down/up trades, followed by a cheap buyout (Shareholders will gladly approve to escape this with any + price).

Unlike retail, the hedge funds know this dance and have been trading accordingly. As you say, any rally gets stamped down with a surge of naked shorts. Welcome to biotech stocks.
