Bolio; who’s your insurer? United Healthcare? I know UHC uses Express Scripts. However, It really depends on your doctor. I don’t have Cardiovascular Disease, yet my prescriber is in my court and aware of the benefits of Vascepa.

Yes, my Cholesterol is >150 mg/dl, but I’ve never been diagnosed with CVD. If you’re at risk then that’s another story. IDK, maybe it’s my age group?

It all depends upon your health care provider (PCP). They need to write Dispense As Written (DAW) on your prescription instructions.
If this doesn’t work, change your insurer, and perhaps your PCP.

And yes, the Medical community needs to be more aware of Vascepa. This is a travesty. That medical professionals don’t know or don’t care to know about new treatments.
