Can’t make a profit until they actually cover their short position. Haven’t seen where very many shorts have covered. Meanwhile longs who have loaned their shares to the shorts have been making a rather nice profit by collecting interest every month, which is being paid by the shorts, while waiting for news to break. Not a gotcha, just setting the record straight.
