I firmly believe that , with all the research done by small Pharma in the last 3 years that there is likely a cure for the flu and a few other things already out there but the sector has died and hype and money are gone.

One Pharma I know has already gone thru Phase 3 with a preventative/treatment for Covid but still need to do another Phase 3 to satisfy FDA yet their product is available over the counter to 22% of the world population excluding North America and Europe
