The currency gains by European investors is not something I had thought of.

I would imagine that given the energy crisis that the ECB will be forced to print money into, these gains will hold and likely strengthen as the dollar WILL strengthen. I actually doubt the Euro makes it through next year, but that's a different discussion.

There absolutely is a shortage of shares here driven by our (retail) ownership. I can personally account for over 1% of the company here in the USA and I'm no one.

The proof of this will be in these sell offs. In June they took it to 5.81 and institutions bought hand over fist. We sit here at 7.57 and support is strong because basically the folks who have been here aren't selling.

The shorts are absolutely screwed here on any actual news. I'm going to try to put together a post today and may ask for your and some others help on this regarding share ownership.
