I think I mentioned this in my ASM summary. Dr Lebby told me the word “exclusivity” was not in his vocabulary. Ubiquitous and exclusive are antonyms!

How does this relate to upfront technology transfer payments? Exclusive might mean $300 million. Ubiquitous probably means $25 million per foundry partner. Royalty payments seem to range between 25% and 33% of pretax profit. This comes from Google searches and is a general benchmark across industries.

Often times, short sellers will target companies that are or will soon be in need of cash. It is MY belief that if two foundries complete their PDKs in the 2nd half and enter into a technology transfer agreement, Lightwave Logic could end this year with $60 million in cash and no dilution.

PicklePower has offered a reasonable formula for calculating the share price. There are many ways to estimate future revenues and they all are off the charts! I am thinking the net royalty per modulator sold will be in the range of $50 to $80 depending upon the value proposition of each modulator.

HG Genuine alone manufactures 26 million transceivers per year with the potential of having 4 modulators in each transceiver. This is when the numbers get ridiculously enormous! It won’t be much longer until those internal numbers become public guidance.

The maximum potential profit for the short sellers is $6.48 per share less the interest expense. Long term (2026 to 2030) stockholders have the potential to profit by as much as one can dream!
