I think your underestimating Bassitt and Walker. I will need some help though getting to diaz, because Lugo has been Up/down from time to time. And outside of drew smith who has been fantastic the bridge is quite shakey to get to diaz. I get still worrying about Diaz we need to see how he does in big playoff games depsite his great 2022 so far. But I'm more concerned about getting to diaz right now because that bridge is very shakey to say the least.
The cards lineup isn't that great, but it is 1000 times better than the brewers they have goldscmidt who has skewed the numbers, I would love to play the brewers or cards they are both made to order as of right now. The brewers have burnes, but that lineup you will win nothing with, without massive upgrades. Sorry. The fact that are only 8 games over 500 in a division where you play the pirates, Cubs and Reds 19 times a year is absurd.
The crew has no OBP guys that is the problem. There lineup stinks. So you can get excited about corbin Burnens, williams and hader, problem is you not gonna pitch a shutout everyday, and you don't have a lineup. Now this can be fixed, the question is done your owner want to go own and commit to winning, I have my doubt with these small market teams, i really do. They should be able to get multiple bats in there.
I continue to say the only bat I really like on your team is Renfroe, and admittingly he isn't a high OBP guy either. But he has power, and he can play the OF, he is a perfect #7 hitter in my opinion on a good team. There is no reason not to, the brewers can fix the problem so easy if they get healthy and add a few bats forget the farm, you can stink later, the next couple of years is your window in my opinion.
