He has also run Anavex in a way that the rare disease community has saluted Anavex as setting the example of how a company should work with the rare disease community to run trials. Maybe it is compassion on his part, maybe it is just insightful business sense. The end result is the same either way.

Agree w/this thought as a context and would also suggest he is demonstrating a discovery-solution ,"Process development/control-change". Check out his AVXL recent patent app. for how to use science-methods to prove, "demonstrate by provision of OBJECTIVE EVIDENCE" what root cause" is. Instead of relying on statistical model only he has hard BIO evidence path to measure treatment efficacy.(we acknowledge that BIO has avoided the HRD science tag for many decades)

As AVXL shareholders we need to understand what is going on here. The FDA (& co.) has failed completely to provide guidance and processes/controls that will result in CNS disease knowledge growth. The entire last 30+ years has produced no science or path to any CNS solutions of effective-value, although we are now more clear on what is NOT THE CAUSE). To some extent this sad fact also applies to academic work, including NIH. "SO WHAT", you say. Well, these are the same people who are (till now) slowing down AVXL breakthrough management. It exposes their incomplete work. We cannot see that yet but we can safely assume this internal political obstruction ...MUST BE THERE.

We are going to overcome it but Dr.M. has more than trails to manage, the entire US Healthcare process-system has a faulty structure which will "quietly" fix itself w/the application of AVXL latest Patent app.

Obviously, these are my opinions but all the facts are in front of us. FDA-NIH and others cannot just say THANK YOU, there is a huge collection of linked BP and Big MED involved. All of that has inertia and $$/influence. That is what we are against, IMO. BTW, Dr.M. cannot call them out b/c they need to find a way to quietly melt away first. IMO, we will know when they do fold up their tents. It will just take some time. The R&D day is a good way to get the ball rolling. IMO.

Note, I am not calling some conspiracy, just reality based on the evidence and problem solving.
