(To me) we are definitely working to get there. Unfortunately healthcare in the US is very insurance driven. We believe we need to get a billing code to get widespread adaptation. And so we work towards that goal.
My response:
Kelly Whelan I see. Even though a Medical Specialist would be enamored to use RECOVERYRX there is no insurance code to compensate a patient. The patient may flip out at a $200.00 RECOVERYRX bill IF THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE DEVICE DOES. Simply put "INERTIA". Time for both patient and insurance companies to understand.
There are 3 coding systems in use.
CPT used by the AMA. Highly coveted it appears.
HCPCS used by Medicare and
ICD used by the World Health Organization
I imagine the way to "get a code " is via major, widespread, clinical trials. The pros, with formidable results, will then propagate the code process.
Kelly Whelan's final reply:
(Directed at me) unfortunately it seems "reimbursement over efficacy" in the healthcare field. We are working to get a code. We have a plan for it and we are executing it.
Folks. THEY HAVE THEIR NOSES TO THE GRINDSTONE. IT TAKES TIME AND GRUNT WORK. Be even more patient than you can imagine. Then.....
