I guess the question to start with could be, for what reasons would the UK not approve vazkepa, when the US, Sweden, Canada, etc. have already approved it?

That question - as UK - was answered in April 2021... "The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has granted an approval for Vazkepa". The current process - with National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, NICE - is about pricing / reimbursement in England.
