Duke. I looked at the top 5 largest insurer formularies ...United, Anthem, Aetna, Cigna and Kaiser .

I found it difficult to understand these plans as different states seemed to offer different versions of the same plan and drugs covered on Medicare were not necessarily covered to same way in their general formulary
At least thats my take ...I'll be the first to admit I'm no expert on formularies
However
Aetna and Cigna were the only 2 I saw that carried brand Vascepa exclusively ...at Tier 4 and Tier 3
Kaiser at least has Brand and generic at the same tier ...but United ( the largest ) as you said ...favors the generic .

U dont have to worry about the current stockpile ...of V .

Note HDG's post on purchasing contracts . He expects AMRN to reduce purchasing API as a way to cut expenses ...correct if necessary HDG . That and reduced US marketing spend ( sales reps ) is what we need

What U / we have to worry about is AMRN burning thru its remaining cash on hand .

Analysts have a " prove it " attitude now towards a UK / EU launch .
Prove it that you can make $ ...make a profit there ...cos with your expenses , you certainly aren't doing that in the US.
