Thank you Uncle RH. Astute observations sprinkled with a healthy dose of humor.

Speaking of a healthy dose of humor, the proposed offshore wind farm projects in CA sound good on paper, but the reality of building them is more challenging. Each of the planned ‘floating’ structures is as “tall as the Washington Monument 555’ and up to 1,000’ wide”. That leaves a big footprint. Due to the enormous size of these structures, there are a number of obstacles that must be overcome. Some will be quite difficult. Talk about environmental impact. NIMBY galore. This multi-billion dollar boondoggle is just as much of an environmental eyesore as any offshore platform, not to even mention the negative impact on the bird population. So by all means, let us forge ahead and continue to ignore all the oil and gas reserves in CA, for at least as long as the wind blows.
