You do understand that the Lightwaves Modulator initially will be at the end of the chip, once the chip is done computing the 1's and 0's roll off the chip the electrons in the 1's and 0's make Lightwaves Polymer flinch and embed the data into a laser and send it down the single mode fiber.

Over the years I've come to understand that many of Lightwaves goals are accomplished while they are discussing them. So while they do say they are developing a PDK I'd bet it is already in the foundry process. They are not going to announce that they are going to do a test run, then another, then another. Folks here would be jumping off a bridge.
