Moses1492, I assume that once the 4012 meters of drill pipe was removed from the hole that they were able to "fish" out the remaining few meters of stuck pipe. Otherwise, why/how could the perforating operation been done that is mentioned in the PSI post.

We don't know for sure if the stuck pipe was on MJ02, but I would speculate that business as usual is now proceeding in whatever well it occurred in. If it was MJ02, then the lower section was perforated and testing continues with access to the bottom. If it was not MJ02, then it was likely in a well that has already been drilled and is currently being tested. If in the process of being drilled, there would have been no need for perforation IMHO.

A link on fishing and a particular one on a jar is below. There is a reason that these tools exist: this type of thing happens! It is always aggravating when it does. Worst case is the well is lost. Best case is a loss of time and money. Just part of everyday life in the oil patch.
