CRTG... If that fee wasn't paid and the time to pay it late expired too, then CRTG can stop all the research into their own version, and apply to obtain the CHS patent from the patent office? The boys must know that fact or they would have done it by now, that is if the actual expiring date for paying-up has not been reached yet?

Again you are missing the FACT that NDSU’s patent is on a method of production. Read it. Coretec previously had ALL marketing rights to this patent, why would they go back down that road??? They had an agreement in place with Geleste to produce CHS and when Geleste could NOT scale up everything went up in smoke. It is obvious the NDSU patent isn’t worth the fees required to keep it in force, otherwise they’d pay the fees. Further, Coretec does not need to do more research aimed at CHS production, they now have their own patent and Evonik HAS successfully scaled CHS using the Coretec IP. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again – Coretec needs NDSU for exactly nothing.

Maybe other Co's have also discovered CHS as well, and are, or already have, applied to obtain the Patent, where CRTG is back in line somewhere, then things make some sense!

No, that just doesn’t make sense. Have you not read the press releases? Coretec currently has agreements with Evonik in Europe, and Richman Chemical in the US to PRODUCE CHS. I don’t doubt NDSU could sell the rights to their patent if somebody would pay anything for it, but the writing is on the wall – if NDSU isn’t going to maintain the patent there simply is no value. Nobody else wants it either.
