The United States is destined to be yet another of a long line of foreign powers stretching back to Alexander the Great, and through the British and Soviet empires, that failed to leave its intended mark on this complicated and mercurial country.


One would have thought we'd learn from history. 20 years, over a trillion dollars and 3000 plus American deaths.

Christians and Muslims have never mixed well. And add in the Taliban which are batshit crazy and it was never going to end well unless the saner Afghan Muslims that actually wanted to defend their own country.


Sadly it's like buying a bad penny stock then averaging down. At some point you need to cut your losses. Now Biden will get the blame but their is plenty of that to go around.
