bond-007.....the answer to why the claimants have not been paid as yet was there all the time...it clearly puts KKR ahead of equity claims in any payout... after all , KKR was instrumental in getting the 600 million in financing to get the Nation Star acquisition done... also, KKR has, I believe 2 seats on the coop board, and they are there for a reason... I remember years ago, an interview given by a representative of KKR, and he said basically that he considered Wmih as a SPAV (special purpose acquisition vehicle)...another article I read on TD Ameritrade has coop saddled with 8.4 billion in short and long term debt...I am sure that there are covenants to these debt instruments that prohibit and dividend payouts on coop stock...In fact, it even says so in your post...it says that coop does not intend to make dividend payments now, or in the foreseeable future... not my words, its in the 8k, or 10q that you posted...so, let me be frank with my observations....UNLESS there is some other Trust fund, other than the one that is mentioned in this filing, as posted by Bond-007, there can be no dispersion of funds from the DST trust, as managed by Kosturos........it goes on to read that KKR was brought in to act as advisor to get a merger done, and also states that the objectives of KKR is not necessarily aligned with coops objectives, ......this would give KKR the right to short the stock if they thought it was in KKR's best interest...now, we have seen coop buy back stock from KKR, and they have announced another buyback in stock starting august 1, so maybe, just maybe, coop wants to eventually excise KKR from their stake in coop, which is about 14 %...if they do, then, WMIH would be in a position to pay off equity claims... so the jury is not out yet on Wmih paying off equity claimants, they just can't do it until the 600 million in loan by KKR is paid back with all interest....Lodas
