Just so that we all know what FPI says, and not what is rumored to be the case.
I posted my first inquiry to FPI in a stickie. I will update that with my follow up question.
Additional Comment from me about 6-7 weeks. This is assuming that there is a possibility that they don't have someone standing around waiting on a returned unit, who then jumps in a vehicle and takes off for the redo of the road test. I wouldn't think they have spare personnel & vehicles set up for redo's, for those who fail the first time. (Figured any delay would not be more than a week?)

From me:
Thank You for your response. After digesting the information, It has spawned a additional question.
First, If I understand correctly, a unit that underwent the road test, and then was sent back to the provider, will make their corrections and send it back in.
Then, from my understanding, it will go back through the process again, starting with the road test and onto the bench tests.
In light of the fact, that you do not do any troubleshooting, and if a unit passes through the entire process to achieve a Certification, can you please tell me how long that process will take?
I am assuming, that because this is a heavily formatted process, that there must be at least a window of time that the process is expected to take?

Response:
Your understanding of the process is correct. A unit from the start to certification, without any corrections to be made, would take 6 weeks. But we have providers that have used the 30 days for correction thus increasing the time.

This is the first correspondence:

Being led around by people who tell you what you want to hear, is not only dangerous, it's not much of a trading strategy.
