My worry is that too many MITIGATE pts decide to get vaccinated (I assume in the agreement to join the trial they agree not to use a vaccine while active in the trial). Scared people may agree to the trial protocol but when they see people dying around them they say screw it give the vaccine ASAP.
This could make the data worthless.
(Not sure what the trial agreement says about vaccines but typically pts have to agree not to take other medications that could affect the data. Do you know?).
