Pdude ...my current thoughts on MITIGATE

I'm with Kaiser and in Nth Ca ( where they recruited from) and fit their inclusion criteria .
I would have been excluded as I was already on Vascepa ...thru Kaiser .
I was considered high risk for Covid since my wife had Covid patients on kidney dialysis ...in fact many of her co workers did get Covid ......plus my age , 70 and CAD status etc

Kaiser gave me my first Covid shot on Jan 24th ......after waiting 3 hrs on hold to get the appointment

Point is ....up until Feb 1st Kaiser should have been able to recruit enough patients for an Interim analysis .
Covid raged in our area at the time and mainly health care workers and nursing home residents had been vaccinated ( to my knowledge ) prior.

I got my first shot with a small group of others ...all 70 or older ...in a Kaiser hospital .
A month later the second shot ...Feb 21st ...was in a school gym in a vastly ramped up vaccination program with a line waiting down the street......55 yrs old and above I think

If they haven't fully enrolled this trial MITIGATE by now ...then IMHO they're in trouble as Kaiser was very proactive in getting MITIGATE profile patients vaccinated and Covid cases have plummeted recently in the Nth Ca area they were recruiting from.

I will be very disappointed if they dont publish the Interim Analysis some time in May

I agree that because its all in house and they have state of the art tracking systems ..they can " clean " and organize the data very quickly .
But if MITIGATE is not fully enrolled by now ...good luck . Covid rates are now very low in the recruiting area and Kaiser has been very aggressive in getting their high risk patients vaccinated
