Feeling more optimistic about CoolTech's chances in getting the ‘Integrated Electrical Power Generation Methods and Systems’ patent approved. This is the patent for the mobile generation technology.

In looking more closely at the patent referenced in the latest rejection of CoolTech’s patent that patent described a vehicle that provides power via a second, auxiliary alternator and battery connect to the vehicle. So it is fundamentally a different system that CoolTech’s mobile generation. The only other reference made in the rebuttal was to a patent that was a stand alone generator powered by some fuel that could be on a trailer or part of a vehicle (meaning the fuel powered generator is integrated into the vehicle). Again very different from Cool Tech’s tech. So I am feeling optimistic about this recent resubmission succeeding. The risk is if, like last time, the examine agrees with CoolTech’s rebuttal but then finds another patent to use to justify a rejection (in the examiners defense the new patent referenced was one granted since his first rejection). So hopefully no new patents have been granted since August 2020 that could call CoolTech’s patent into question (Aug 2020 is the time the examine last looked for patents relevant to this submission). Another rejection will be costly and take months for CoolTech to develop a response.

If we get the patent I think there will be a healthy pop because we have so many new eyes on the company that are chomping at the bit to get information to promote the stock. There is also the remote possibility that the company needs the patent to close on funding (specifically the funding based on the value of their patents).

From a quick review response times from examiners, if they are going to reject a submitters argument against rejection is 1 to 3 months. If accepted it is faster, around 2 to 6 weeks.
It makes sense the response from the examiner if they are going to deny a submitters argument against rejection is faster if the patent is granted because the examiner doesn't have to document why it is being rejected. So we need the examiner to read the rebuttal agree with it, do another review to make sure that no new patents have been granted that invalidate the submission and then approve.

The examiner got the response on 1/25/2021. So I think the next 3 weeks have the possibility of some good news for us. After 3 weeks I think it is likely we have another rejection coming.
