None of us know the true financials so all hypothetical ... but seems very similar to some Bigger scams whom used “special purpose entities” (SPEs) to access capital or hedge risk. By using SPEs such as limited partnerships with outside parties, where a company can increase leverage and ROA without having to report debt on its balance sheet when it comes to procuring said loans or reporting.


Anyone remember a company called Enron? Ltnc obviously a much smaller scale and slightly different scan but highly illegal either way.
