The possibility exists...but IMO it is more likely she thinks she is doing her part to cut the cost of prescription drugs in the USA..She is a social activist....In retrospect (and what should of been factored in at the time..is the fact the ninth district was the worst venue anyone could have picked..Hope this was not done to allow Kennedy easier access to the trial.

Want to cut the cost of drugs in the USA. Subsidize the drug industry and reign in the FDA...But don't steal from the people who develop the drugs. The downstream effect of this theft of property from a drug developer is going to be slow down in medical research...If Amarin was really smart they would write letter to all the big pharmas and point out that this could happen to any of them...And with the regard the Federal Courts are not going to play fair or honest with their patents...Then none of them are safe as long as generics can sue them...

The government should understand what a wicked web they are weaving...
