There is nothing to be gained from either BP or AMRN waiting to do a BO.
The sooner BP is the owner, the sooner they will have "their" sales force
out selling Vascepa and working on approvals for new territories. JT
went out of his to avoid saying BP BO...instead he wanted to leave open
the prospect of doing something with a "larger company." Of course that
most likely meant BO but for whatever reason was not going to use that
term. I certainly hope that JT is engaged in BO talks right now...no
indication of that in the share price or the stock options. Still, the
exclusivity clock begins to run out with official EMA approval. The
person hired to head up Europe can negotiate pricing but they need BP
to sell and distribute the drug. There is no reason for AMRN to wait
for a BP BO. BP would need time to get everything ready for a launch
in Europe. Certainly the Baker Brothers are giving advice to JT.
