iPhone 4 is CNC “soft” commercial aluminum glass sandwich.

iPhone 6 use the same (but require one piece metal back for strength) and yet still wind up with bend gate.

iPhone 7-8 use Aircraft grade aluminum.

iPhone 10-11 uses “cherry pick” MIM stainless steel glass sandwich (with 20% shrinkage)

BMG did not make it due to “mirror finish” difficulty. It is impractical to “polish” hard material such as BMG.

It is my understanding that LM106C solved the mirror finish problem

Curve frame has “draft angle” injection molding problem that prevent “one step finish”

Two pieces of curve frame “fuse” together create yet another unsolvable problem according to LQMT.

Yes.....straight edge frame will become perfect solution in all front. (Including Jony Ive departure)
