Whether they announce a hard data lock, or a soft data lock, I do believe both will start the clock ticking towards top line. If they announce a soft data lock, it’ll only be because a few slides or an MRI scan or two is still late to the data base due to accessing the medical centers because of Covid restrictions. However, I don’t believe that a few still missing slides will comprise an actual data point on a KM curve. So the compiled data can still be submitted to the stat guys, who do not need a few missing slides that can be added later to run their stat programs. So I think what’s missing under a soft data lock is still part of the entire data set, but not something that comprises a data point. Naturally, it’s preferable to reach a hard lock, because it’s a more complete sounding milestone, but again, my point is that I believe even a soft data lock starts the countdown to the much anticipated top line announcement. :)
