I shut down my computer each night. This morning when I fired up it once again downloaded KB4556799, the problem update. Obviously MS has tweaked it because now when it loads it changes the names of many files. So far it seems to have solved the problems I had with the first download. If I discover any further problems today, I will once again recover to a previous version at bedtime and let it run overnight. Then I will download the MS tool to hide/block that update (don't really want to do this as it may create additional problems). So far so good. . .
