Jas, you still don't understand what's going on here - AMRN's MARINE patents did not "run out" - if they did, there would be no case for AMRN to sue for patent infringement - most MARINE patents are valid until 2030. What the generics did was wait for AMRN's 5 year NCE FDA exclusivity to expire, then they filed ANDAs to try to get their generic versions of V approved by the FDA, triggering the lawsuit. It's a little more complicated than that (there's a 30 month stay built in to the timeline) but those other bits aren't important for this discussion.
