Ok good point, clearly if they get the ball over the goal line they deserve the salaries they have received! That being said they have miss stepped many times over the past 15 years! Maybe if they had been compensated half salary and half shares, they would have been more concerned about how long this has taken, and how low the share price has declined. Imagine if they just came out with a news release that said such a thing! Something like this:

Because of the current Corona Virus Outbreak the management and BOD of Northern Dynasty have reduced their Salaries to $1 for the remainder of 2020. They will donating 25% to the covid response in Alaska, and the balance will be issued as common stock at a conversion rate of 75 cents, convertible on the successful completion of permits for the pebble mine!

Now that would change my opinion of this management teams motives and confidence! Instead, they are coming across as greedy bastards,who only care about themselves! Thoughts?
