Yes Kent opted for share-based compensation INSTEAD OF cash salary in that instance.

That’s a GREAT thing for several reasons.

1. It didn’t take cash out of the company. What OTC CEO would opt for something other than cash? Only a top notch CEO like Kent building a great company!

2. It continues to align Management’s interests with shareholder’s interests. This is why ALL COMPANIES use share based compensation.

Note: Don’t get confused. This was not a “bonus” or “extra compensation.” This was shares INSTEAD OF (did you catch it: INSTEAD OF) taking cash salary out of the company.

Why would a CEO accept share based compensation INSTEAD OF cash?

Because he knows how undervalued the stock is right now. And the CEO is in the best position to know that :D

Also: he has NEVER sold these shares. He holds them all to this day (except the ones he donated to a Youth Charity).
