Someone explain to me how AMRN makes money with a US generic unless they succeed in COMPLETELY blocking other generics from obtaining API

They won't be able to block other generics.

It's a scorched earth policy however. If AMRN comes out with a generic, and so do the others, no one makes much money. Sales will be low (because no one will promote) so everyone gets a much smaller piece of the pie.

Hence, a price signal to H&R that they are willing to burn the forest down and everything with it.
