I was in a staff meeting that was being conducted by the Senior Vice President of Brown & Root. It was in Bahrain.

B&R was changing it's pay package for Americans on foreign locations. It was going to be a big hit for us.

As the VP was telling us what a great deal it would be for us, a tough as nails structural steel superintendent, raised his hand.

The VP "Yes Earl, is there something you'd like to say?"

Earl. Yes Mr Knight. What you are telling us amazes me and pisses me off. It amazes me that you are telling us that bullshit and it pisses me off that you expect us to believe it".

A hush fell over the staff meeting. Earl survived.
