I'd like to know how many of the lawyers on this board have ever told a client that they have a "95+% chance" or a "virtual certainty" of winning a trial


What the attorney tells their client should never be a measuring stick of what the attorney truly believes about the likelihood of winning.

Just like if the attorney believes that his client has committed the offense that he is charged with, he is not going to tell his client that he thinks that the client did it.
