if shorts really were covering last week,
raises the question of why they would bother to cover at all?

if they cover, they close the transaction
and need to pay profits on the short sale delta.

if they never cover,
on assumption MIKP will never be worth anything,
they never need to pay the tax.

logically, they would only accept that tax exposure
if they thought there was a credible chance
that MIKP share price might rise again.

to be clear, we don't know what their motivations are.
just seems unlikely anyone would invest the time/effort
in trading a billion shares on a gray market ticker
unless they thought MIKP would go higher.

if mark were dumping last week,
then that would explain it away.
any clue how many MIKP shares mark had on his shelf
