True...it wouldn't hurt. What local flooring contractors? We don't have any....that's actually what I meant about having to go out of town. I didn't word an earlier post too well and you thought I meant we would have to leave town while the work was done.

We're at a disadvantage where I live...our town really isn'[t that small but we're located between two large cities so most stores don't locate here. It's not worth it to them...especially since we have the super Lowes. We don't even have a Home Depot.

I probably will take the easy route and just install carpeting.
