Do we really want to even contemplate sourcing API from China, especially after reading that 99% of their imported tea contains some level of pesticides? Feed that EPA to farmed fish - oops, that wouldn't be safe either, contaminants build up in fish because they can't excrete them. Just keep it in China. And our wonderful EPA wouldn't protect us from any new chemical contaminants either - they announced they're phasing out mammal testing of chemicals and pesticides/herbicides because "it's too burdensome and costly for the chemical companies" - they say computer models and in vitro testing of batches of single cell types is sufficient - what a load of BS! And we're mostly talking about the use of mice and rats here - seriously? You think testing the toxicity of Roundup on a petri dish of skin cells is going to predict whether it causes a type of blood cancer or not? EPA is going to let humans be guinea pigs instead of using real guinea pigs!
