Really? What a company pays for another company is independent of its value?

That's ridiculous. Which company do you reckon "tanked" the transaction for the benefit of the other?

LOL!

No, when one entity purchases another, both of them have a value in mind that comes from their own due diligence. It is highly unlikely either the buyer or seller missed it in any substantial manner.
