I'm still astonished at the mindset.

All these events have been totally predictable for years. What did he think would happen if he blatantly ripped all sorts of people off in plain sight, and left a paper trail of criminal deceptions leading all the way into federal prison.

I mean, say you plan on robbing a liquor store. Any self-respecting robber is going to have a car, and maybe even a driver, all ready to drive away from the crime. He wears a ski mask to prevent identification. If he's got a gun, it's untraceable. In other words, the larger part of planning the crime is working out how to get away with it.

Foley did none of these things. He signed his name to everything. He made sure anyone and everyone knew it was him doing them.

It's the equivalent of robbing the liquor store, not wearing a mask, in fact wearing a big DAVID FOLEY nametag, using a gun that says "This is David Foley's Gun" on the side, then stood there after taking the money, waiting for the cops to arrive. And then, what? Claim that it's someone else on the videotape robbing the store and now just standing there like an idiot with the gun in his hand?

Did he have no end plan at all? Does he not have the slightest idea how to crime?

I have to think that he's just incapable of thinking past whatever luxury lifestyle piece can be acquired next, and never even once thinking about the consequences.

I guess the plan is to sit in his bare prison cell for 20 years, contenting himself with the fact that he once lived in a mansion and owned a Maserati.
