They just blew all that up with the AdCom decision, which normally would have been made no later than the mid-cycle review meeting.

I agree with you that an AdComm should have been decided much earlier.

That is why I am highly suspicious that MRC's petitions have something to do with it. The questions he raises would definitely fall in line with #3 and #4 of reasons for an AdComm in the Desk Reference Guide (p. 32) and the petitions would have been received after the Day 74 and Mid-Cycle deadlines, which means they would have been discussed during the late-cycle meeting.
