How much was Aricept / Donepezil when launched and through to patent expiry?



Around 2000 it was $100 a month and was around $180-200 right before it went generic in 2010. They raised the price a lot after it went generic to eke out some more profit but hardly anyone is on brand name anymore.

I think an AD pill could easily sell for $300/month or more. Namenda never seemed to help any of my patients and went for $300/month right before the generic came out afew years ago. A Rett drug could go for 10 x that so they will need to get creative with insurers if A273 looks good in eventual phase 3 studies and gets approved for both indications.
