It’s gonna go through trial for sure, similar unsuccessful cases have been brought against the cable cos in the past, this one is lookin good. Say Arris/Commscope does a buyout, then say the cable cos decide to use a different vendor to supply the modems, then Commscope is screwed they r left owning expensive patents that r widely abused. The infringement has to be proven in a court of law to force the alleged infringers to pay up. Cisco will not buyout, buyout will only happen if Chanbond gets the Cable cos so worried they will lose in trial.
