Profits are higher on the suvs and trucks so they'll make more money. Life will be grand until gas goes back up then we'll all want little cars again. But I wouldn't touch the auto industry long term as an investment. Ridesharing is cutting bigtime into individual ownership and I never have figured out what they do with the millions of cars that come off lease every year.

It's nice to have a lot of horsepower in the engine room but you need some in the wheelhouse too.
