If 17 SOC might have been excluded from somewhere earlier in the trial after randomization, one might think it was picked up in a DMC safety analysis when they either did considerably better or worse than prior SOC. Then perhaps under such an alternative scenario, thereafter investigators might have determined the reason. Something like placebo manufacturing issues, or site administration issues, demographic issues of a particular clinic, or shipping issues....etc.
